Angels Among Us

Mike and Joanne Webb have been worshipping with us for about 4 months now. They are new to Warrenton having moved here from Iowa. Mike was a career pilot in the Air Force until his retirement at which time he decided to commit his gifts and talents to the Lord's work. Mike still flies for the Lord but he also has a growing ministry teaching spiritual warfare and the Armor Of God as found in Eph 6:10-18.

Mike is the CEO and a pilot for Air Serv. Air Serv International is "...a unique not-for-profit humanitarian aviation organization, established in 1984 to provide rapid response, emergency relief, medical and security evacuations and long-term development assistance. A key member of the international humanitarian community, Air Serv International works with nearly all humanitarian organizations active around the world."

Mike is currently on an extended trip throughout the Mid East and North Africa. We received this update form him earlier today:

We are 8 ½ hours of Warrenton. Attached are a few pictures of my travel thru Kabul today.

The shopkeeper with spices is a friend I made while JoAnne and I lived here.

The hanging meat is a very common sight at the bazaars.

You can see women in blue burka’s walking all over this city of approximately 4 million. They still live in fear since the Taliban were in power.

The girls are deaf and my friend Oksana (left in green) is a missionary who is helping teach them how to cut hair. She works in this school which has like minded Afghan’s and minister to the needs of many.
