Obstacles? Nick Vujicic Knows about Obstacles!

While doing my research and study for 1 Cor 16:5-11 (There Are Many Adversaries), I ran across these videos. The main theme of my sermon Sunday will be this: God has called us and equipped us and even though obstacles may appear to be in our way, He knew about them and has placed them there for His glory. Our job is to have faith in His capability to overcome, not our own strengths or weaknesses (Eph 6:10).

If we are truly victorious Christians (1 John 5:4), it may be that the only thing standing between us and God's perfect peace and rest in our lives.........is us. We too often find ourselves in a position of assessing our circumstances and then deciding what we can or cannot do. Are our decisions based on God's will and calling on our lives? Or are they based on what we see happening around us (John 16:33)? For me, it's far too easy to make a determination about what to do based on the things that may prevent me from doing it rather than on God's call for me to honor and obey Him.

The videos are a story of someone who saw the obstacles in his life as God's opportunities to demonstrate His glory.

Both videos are the testimony of a young man named Nick Vujicic, born without arms or legs. Take a few minutes to see them in their totality. The ending of the second video is particularly poignant:
