We're in L.A.!

One of the great things about these trips is the fellowship we share. here are Ron, John, Bob and Richard waiting for the plane and discussing something fairly obscure but extremely important..... none of us can remember what it was! We left Dulles at 6 PM.

We flew on one of the new 777's. It was only about half full so we could stretch out and get comfortable.

We had video screens on the seatbacks in front of us. Most of us ignored the movies and cartoons to read important stuff.

Richard, "Have you read this paper on 'The Theological Impact of Open Theism in the 15th Century'?"

John, "Have you ever noticed that Sylvester NEVER catches Tweedy pie?"

Flying over Los Angeles at night is spectacular. It just sprawls out in all directions, a huge gleaming jewel set next to the ocean.

Here's our diggs for the next four days. We're near Van Nuys/Burbank. It's 11:30 at night (2:30, your time), the temperature is 57 degrees. Life is good....God is greater!

  1. Ah yes, I remember that same view of the LA night light as our plain landed into LAX from Dallas last summer. From LA, we headed on a 14 hr flight to Hong Kong.

  5. That's awesome, I got to see Alistair a couple months back here in Dallas for a local Christian radio's 10 yr anniversary. I got to shake his hand and he signed his book for me. It was a great experience.
