The Bus!

Here's a multiple choice quiz for you:

Which of the following two buses belong to WBF....

This one?

Or this one?

Here are your choices:
a. The top one
b. The Bottom one
c. Both of them

The correct answer? 'c'! Both of them are ours! We just purchased the bottom bus from a church in Bealeton for only $500! It's much smaller than the big bus and should be far more useful for short trips with fewer people than the 44 folks the big bus will hold.

God has been gracious to us in the area of transportation. We took the big bus in an even trade from Camp Orchard Hill for the 12 passenger van that we had before. The yellow bus serves us well but is not practical for small groups of people. This newer, smaller bus will hold about 18 people and be much better on gas and maintenance.

The new bus needs some work but is in great shape mechanically. The seats need some repair and some other interior work should be done. The bus has a handicap lift, a/c (air conditioning, Praise God!) and and a gas engine. Elder Jerry Pauley has already begun touching up the exterior and removing the lettering. We could use a few more seats. If anyone has any information on availability, we could use some contacts. We could use some help in the area of seat repair as well.

Bob Adinolfi and I went to Bealton to get the bus last week. I felt like a real Road Warrior tooling around in that thing! It's big but not as HUGE as the yellow bus. Here's something cool... people wave at you when you're driving a bus. Little kids wave, old folks wave (at least, I think they were waving. They may have been trying to flag me down!). In any case, I just wave back. Can anyone install one of those big rig horns that you have to reach up, over your head, and pull to blow? Now that would be cool!

  1. I asked John who took the photo of him in the bus...Bob Adinolfi gets the photo credit. Very cool shot!
