Angels Among Us

We had another great time in the Fellowship Hall today having lunch after the Late Service. We always get a great turnout for this event and it has become a time we all look forward to each month.

Almost everyone helps out with the cleanup with special kudos to Brice and Drew Hoke who lead the charge each month to put the table and chairs away. Have you ever wondered who sets everything up? Rumor has it that a small group of Ninja Elders steal into the Fellowship Hall during the late service and set up the tables and chairs.

Once the room is set up, then the ladies go into action. Marsha Melkonian has been the coordinator for the lunches for the last three months. She gets the lunch meats and garnishes and then sets up the platters. Marsha has been serving the body at WBF as Head of Women's Ministry for two years. Marsha oversees the Tuesday morning Womens' Bible study and has a heart for ministering to women in a number of areas.

One or two of the ladies of the church usually help her set up. This month, Sherry Farmer set the tables and helped Marsha in the kitchen. Sherry and her husband, Gary have been good friends of ours for well over 10 years. She just joined the Worship Team and has been active in the Tuesday morning Women's Bible study as well.

This is the type of service that means so much to us as a body and might go unnoticed except for the smiles and joy on the faces of those who sit down to have a meal together.

Many thanks to all those who brought food, all who helped out and all who share their time and fellowship! See ya next month!

  1. Well deserved kudos to Fred Reid and his children who helped clean up after the meal too. Thanks!
