More Mike!

I got this from Mike this morning:

Yesterday was a exciting day of travel from Uganda to Chad. I arrived in N’djamena around 0100 local. The African’s don’t wait in lines nor do they recognize body space? I was blessed with the challenge to love thru it all, and it was wonderful!

I slept for a few hours in the ASI Office near the airport, and shot these pictures of kid’s outside the door where ASI brought in sand and put up lights for them to come play and study. The Twin Otter flew in from Abeche, but had a generator fail which had to be replaced before we could fly back. We took the aircraft to the MAF Europe Hangar and replaced the engine starter generator. I got a quick tour of N’djamena and then we loaded up for a 3 hour flight to Abeche.

I was excited to be asked to fly the Twin Otter, which I did gladly to include the take off and landing in Abeche! It is the rainy season here in Chad, and the Twin Otter has large float tires which make it ideal to be able to get in and out of the remote locations that have flooding and soft dirt runway surfaces.

We will fly to the refugee camps on Monday which are on the east border between Chad and Sudan.

Thanks to all of you for your continued prayers of support.
