Psalm 86 was authored by Ethan the Ezrahite, a very wise man according to 1 Kings 4:31, apparently wise and inspired!

Psa 87 – Praise (Sons of Korah exalt in God’s city)

Psa 88 – Lament (A petition to God)

Psa 89 – Doxology

Psa 89 is at the end of Book Three. It is Davidic in theme and ends with “Blessed be the Lord…” (Psa 89:52)
