School Supply Drive
As a result of our "School Supply Drive", we were able to minister to 60 children in our community by providing fully stocked back packs for the new school year. Here's what Andy Ward said about the delivery of the backpacks:
I was blessed by being able to witness the love and devotion that went in to providing backpacks for our local children during this recent school supply drive. It was obvious the tremendous time and effort that was put in to each child's backpack to make it special. The congregation's effort was truly inspiring and a reflection of the abundant love that Christ has for these children. May God's Spirit pour from these backpacks.
God bless, Andy

What an outpouring! This effort became so much larger than what we initially projected. Once again, we had heavy participation from our neighborhood and a tremendous amount of support from within the congregation.
This is what we are called to do, folks! Share the love of Christ while teaching the gospel. As many of you already know, we have a passion for going out into the community with our hands full of blessing rather than with our hands out for a donation. We want to be able to sow seeds of blessing and love without placing demands or conditions on them, a demonstration of God's unconditional love and grace to people who may not expect or understand it.
What a beautiful gift to the children of our town. What a wonderful manifestation of what we, as a congregation, can do when we pool out talents, gifts and treasure together to reach out to the area around us. This was a full-body effort and God used it to bless a lot of people....maybe ourselves the most!
I am so excited about seeing God's hand move so powerfully among us!
Next up....in October......the Winter Coat Drive!
