Baby Dedication

One of the great blessings we get, as Pastors at WBF is to be a part of the dedication of a baby. This is a simple ceremony during which a couple publicly proclaims their faith in Christ, their commitment to raising their new baby in a godly manner and their stewardship of a sacred and miraculous blessing. The congregation also states it willingness to support the couple in their efforts to equip their child with the Word of God.

I said this ceremony was simple....simple but moving as we witness a new life embarking on a great journey. We all get the opportunity to pray for God to reveal Himself in a special way to our new brother or sister. We all get the opportunity to play our part in that journey.

What an honor to be able to stand there with those folks as they commit their baby to the Lord!
