London & Paris!

We've had a whirlwind tour of Paris and London over the last two weeks. We walked many miles, took many photographs and tried to get a flavor for each city. It was quite an adventure!

Here are some photos from our time in London.
The Tower of London, dating back to the 11th century

London cabs are ubiquitous

For those who have seen Masterpiece Theater's series, this is the real Selfridge's Dept Store
Paris was also incredible. We got to visit some of the most famous locations.

Here are some scenes from the streets of Paris. It is, indeed, an enchanting city. Like London is dominated by the Thames so Paris is dominated by the Seine. Some of the most beautiful and charming areas are close to the river.

Street fairs are common throughout the city

Motorcycles and scooters are far more common than in the USA

Ancient and stunningly beautiful bridges are all along the river

The river is heavily trafficked

Street fair food is delicious!

On Aug, 29, we loaded our bags and sore legs into the Eurostar train in London.

We took it through the Chunnel back to Paris, then took a few regional trains into the heart of Brittany. We'll have more the share about our time in this quiet and spectacularly beautiful countryside sometime soon.
