Chronological Reading Plan for Sep 10, Eze 46-48.

Today's readings are Eze 46-48. Tomorrow's are Joel 1-3.

In Eze 46, we see more guidelines for the rebuilt temple in Ezekiel's time. They all prefigure the arrival of the Messiah and describe, in metaphor, what His kingdom will look like. He will be Prince of the people but will be among the people.

Eze 47 relates how a trickle of refreshing water will flow from the temple. In time, it will increase in volume. It is a picture of the new kingdom, how it will begin humbly and continue to grow. The land is defined and guaranteed. But, this time, there is a provision for aliens. This too, is a picture of the new kingdom, a land that is permanent and room for aliens.

Eze 48 defines the immediate future kingdom of Israel for Ezekiel's time.
