A Walk Around Minneapolis

After a short nap this afternoon we decided to take a stroll down to the Mississippi River. We found that Minneapolis is a beautiful town. Built around a falls, it is a very old town with a rich history of mills and flour production. All along the riverside are the signs and remnants of a once flourishing grain and flour industry:



The River itself is beautiful as well:



They have built a series of locks for boats to navigate up and down river from the falls. We got to see this small powerboat go through:



Surrounding the riverfront is a very modern and large city with soaring skyscrapers and an interesting blend of historic and modern architecture:



Of course, we had a lot of fun along the way:
