Topsail 2008 - Beach Olympics. Guest blogger, Kelly

Beach Olympics...yes, John and I had our very own competition today. The scores are in with 2 golds going to John and one gold going to Kelly. Details on the divisions below:

Frisbee toss - most successful throws and catches - John
Bocce Ball - very close match, but the ultimate decision of the judges ruled in favor of - John
Boogey Board Freestyle - for the 28th year in a row, Kelly wins this hands down!

Of particular note, there were no spectacular wipe outs in the boogey boarding competitions this year, but we may see "seaweed throwing" as a sanctioned event next year. (It seems the only way John can get an upper hand in the boogey boarding event is by terrorizing Kelly with seaweed.)

Kelly does come home with two injuries though; a splinter remains lodged in her foot, but the scrape on her instep from where her foot fell into the toilet (don't ask) is nearly healed.
