New Worship Music From Gateway Worship

Every now and then a worship album comes along that is just the right thing at the right time; Third Day – Offerings, Michael W. Smith – Worship, Robin Mark – Revival in Belfast. Every song is a near classic and most of them end up in the worship catalogs at local churches.

'Wake Up the World' by Gateway Worship (Integrity) is one of those albums. Many of the songs have a vaguely Michael W Smith sound to them. They are really well produced, many of them anthemic in their instrumentation and feel.

What stands out throughout each song on the album is the theologically and doctrinally sound nature of the lyrics:

God of my days
King of my nights
Lord of my laughter
Sovereign in sorrow
You're the prince of my praise
The Love of my life
You never leave me
You are faithful
"God of My Days"

Another great song is "New Doxology", an expanded and contemporary version of the traditional Doxology. It's awesome! There are a number of quieter and intimately worshipful songs as well. This album has it all, great lyrics, fantastic musicians and catchy tunes.
