Lord Over All!

What an awesome week it has been! Only a loving and gracious Father could ever have arranged for things to go as well as they have this week. He blessed us mightily on Friday with a wonderful and moving memorial service for our brother, Tom and his family. Then He blessed us again this morning with two more anointed and Spirit-led corporate gatherings for praise, worship and the Word. It was a privilege and an honor to be able to pray, sing and fellowship with our church family today.

Kelly and I are getting ready to (yes, it's true!) leave town for Louisville this afternoon. The timing for this conference could be better, in a worldly sense but I have prayed about it and discussed it with the Elders and this may just be God's timing for Kelly and I to get away for a few days and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to us.

As you are aware, things have been pretty hectic lately. Mom is doing well but is not happy in the Rehab facility and wants to go home. I want her to be able to go home but she is not yet able to get out of bed without help and has just started the part of rehab where she is begriming to stand up. With all of our prayers and encouragement, she may be able to go home within the next two weeks. We would love for her to come to Virginia, but she's very insistent on staying in Ohio.

Kelly and I return from KY on Thursday, then I'm off to the Tres Dias weekend until Sunday evening.

I covet your prayers during this time. Only by God's grace and in His strength can I even come close to doing everything that needs to be done. This is turning out to be a real lesson in moment-to-moment dependence on Him.

After amazing times like we had last Friday and awesome mornings like we had this morning, I am more confident than ever that He is Lord over everything (including schedules) and that we are firmly in His grip
