Blessings and Traveling Mercies to Mike and Joanna Webb

"Either I'm going to walk the walk or I shouldn't be talking the talk."

That's what Mike said to me Wednesday morning two weeks ago. He had just been asked for his resignation by the Board of Directors of the company he was working for. Mike had been placed in a position where he had to make a choice; be true to his personal beliefs and convictions or allow them to be compromised thereby compromising not just his integrity, but his witness and his walk with the Lord as well.

He chose to honor God in all he did.

Because of that, he was asked to leave. Although the severance plan was generous, Mike suddenly found that he and his wife were left with a new home in a new town in a very expensive region to live in........without employment. He had to do something fast.

So................they prayed.

God led them to begin packing for a move back to Idaho. He sent a renter for their home and made provision to store their belongings once they got there. God arranged for a moving company to help them out and helped them with transportation as well. Even in the midst of these blessings, God has not seen fit give them a vision for much beyond the next week or two. He seems to be providing for them on a daily basis, causing them to have to trust in Him for each day, for each individual step of the way without knowing what the step beyond that one will be.

Meanwhile, they have to contend with what happened to Mike regarding his employment. They had every reason to be righteously indignant, if not bitter. They had every right to be disappointed and dejected. They had every right to whine and complain and ask, "Why me?"

They prayed blessings on their former employers.

Yes see? This is what Mike was talking about when he said, " Either I'm going to walk the walk....." He was talking about putting his faith and trust in God into action, praising God and giving thanks to Him even when the situation doesn't seem to have much to be thankful for, trusting Him to provide for them and give them direction as they need it.

They go out on the road tomorrow morning. Some folks are getting together to clean up their house once they're gone so the new renters can move in on Jan 3. If you would like to be part of this blessing, let Kelly know (portr8s@aol.com).

May God go before you in every step you take, Mike and Joanna. May He provide for you, may he protect you and may he abundantly shed His grace and mercy upon you as you go, trusting in His promises.

Thanks for teaching us all a lesson in how to walk the walk.
