We're having a great time at the beach!

Not having Jason with us has its' own impact, both positive and negative. We do miss him. We would rather be spending this time with him but we speak to him daily and are looking forward to having Ruth and Todd with us next week. For now, we're enjoying the sunshine (and the rain!) and just coping with the moments we would like to be with our son. Our time alone together has been relaxing and a blessing! We've had time for prayer, time to just sit and talk and plenty of time to go out and have fun! All this with no alarm to wake us up in the morning!

With all this time on my hands, I have had the opportunity to get caught up on some reading and listening (I'd be lost without my iPod). This morning, I picked this up from John Piper. It's short (3 mins) and, I think, a blessing.
